Traffic Signal Technician I (Two Vacancies)

The purpose of this job is to ensure safe operation of traffic signal equipment in emergency or non-emergency situations. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, constructing, installing, maintaining, upgrading, and repairing electronic traffic signals and signal systems; preparing related reports; and performing additional tasks as assigned.
Qualified applicants must possess the following:
- Vocational or technical diploma;
- Electronic maintenance or related experience;
- Or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
- A valid driver’s license.
- International Municipal Signal Association Level I Certification or the ability to acquire the certification.

This merit system position requires that the employee satisfactorily complete a probationary period.
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; including a pre-arranged on-call schedule.
