Landscape Supervisor

The purpose of this job is to plan and direct operations involving multiple crews in performing a full range of landscape related duties at Unified Government parks, buildings, or rights-of-way. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervising multiple crews; planning, directing, and co-coordinating landscape projects; maintaining inventory; managing irrigation projects; developing expense budgets; coordinating the use of inmate labor; assisting with division management programs and performing additional tasks as assigned.
Qualified applicants must possess the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Five years experience related to landscape management;
- Or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job;
- One year supervisory experience;
- Criminal background must indicate eligibility for the supervision of inmates;
- Security training for the supervision of inmate workers as set forth by the Georgia Department of Corrections Standard Operating Procedures within six months of date of hire or first available opportunity;
- Commercial Pesticide Operator’s License, CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to obtain License and Certification within one year of date of hire; and
- A valid driver's license.
Vocational/Technical degree in a related discipline is preferred. See job description for further details

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
