The purpose of this job is to assist in planning, developing and evaluating gymnastics programs in Leisure Services for the Athens-Clarke County community. Oversees daily gymnastics program activities, prepares materials and assures gymnastics programs are maintained; and performing additional tasks as assigned.
Qualified applicants should posses the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Ø Applicants should be knowledgeable of gymnastics and have experience working with children;
Ø Applicants for coaching positions must have experience coaching competitive AAU levels;
Ø Ability to spot; and an
Ø Ability to help coordinate and implement male gymnastics programs and be a positive role model to the male gymnasts.
High school diploma or equivalent with six months gymnastic instruction/coaching experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Gymnastics instruction/coaching at the AAU level is preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license. See job description for further details.
WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time Monday through Friday with morning and afternoon hours depending on class schedule. Occasional weekends.
